Tom Holland Says Uncharted Movie Is Still Up in the Air

The development of the Uncharted movie has been troubled to say the least, with multiple directors and writers coming in and eventually leaving the production for different reasons. And while the project has finally found both its director and screenplay writer, it looks like it’s still very much up in the air.

In a video interview with JOE.ie for Spider-Man: Homecoming, Tom Holland briefly spoke about the Uncharted movie and said that while he’s very passionate about the project, it’s still just a conversation rather than something set in stone. Holland said:

The idea is to make an origin story for Nathan Drake, something we haven’t really seen since the games take place later in his life, but at the moment this is just a conversation. I sat down with Tom Rothman and we sort of came up with this idea, and I sat down with Shawn Levy to talk about this idea, and believe me, this is something I’m very passionate about, that I would love to do, but it just depends if it’s going to work out.

So while waiting for whether the Uncharted movie actually becomes a reality, Uncharted: Lost Legacy is scheduled for release on August 25, 2017, for the PlayStation 4.
