BadFly Interactive, developers of Dead Effect 2, have announced a new first person shooter in development. Titled TauCeti Unknown Origin, BadFly bills the game as a co-op sci-fi first person shooter, wherein the main character crash landed on a strange and unknown world. TauCeti looks to offer a beautiful and unique world to roam through, and appears to be a very different setting than the developers’ previous titles taking place in a dark and sterile spaceship.
BadFly has also released a teaser trailer for the new game:
Here’s some more information about TauCeti from the developer’s press release:
TauCeti Unknown Origin is a beautiful, but dangerous place. It features a thick tropical rainforest, deep canyons, a great rover and ruins of stone buildings. Temples of ancient civilizations might offer shelter, but also hides danger. The natives are something to experience! Throughout the environment, you may discover shattered parts from your broken vessel.
- Cooperative game for up to 8 players
- Solo, group and raid content
- Class-based game
- PvE and PvP game modes
- A strong story, following up of our previous games
- Open Word game with a lot of opportunities (to explore, harvest, craft, upgrade, build base)

Interestingly enough, TauCeti is related to Dead Effect 2, wherein the player character was a crew member aboard the spaceship ESS Meridian before the escape pod crashed. For more information about BadFly’s previous title, feel free to check here.
