The Destiny 2 Collector’s Edition Poster Hides a Secret Under UV Light

If you’re a fan, a collector, or both, you might have gotten your hands on one of the Destiny 2 Collector’s Editions. Running $249.99, this version of the game comes with a high-quality messenger bag, a solar USB charger, Destiny 2 steelbook, and a bunch of other goodies from and for the game. It also comes with a Cabal themed box, booklet, and poster. If you opted for the $99.99 Limited Edition instead, you will have also received this Cabal themed box.

The poster in the box–listed on the packaging as “Cabal schematic”–has a very interesting secret. A couple of redditors on r/destinythegame and r/raidsecrets discovered that hidden information can be revealed under blacklight. Users Von_Zeppelin and faltion discovered that when a UV light was used to view the Cabal poster–which seems to just be a stylish hierarchy of sorts–there are a series of secret lines and symbols running across the whole thing.

I was able to confirm this with my own Destiny 2 Collector’s Edition poster. It is assumed that the “schematic,” in conjunction with the booklet, is a template for the Destiny 2 raid. Emperor Calus was betrayed and overthrown by Ghaul, the Consul, and a few others. The words in the booklet are a plea from Calus to kill those that betrayed him, and many of the pictures in the book match up with images on the schematic. Some speculate that the lines may be hints towards puzzle solutions or maybe even a way to find the secret chests that each Destiny raid has always had.
