Hitman 2’s Newest Sniper Assassin Map Is the Ice-Cold Siberia

Io Interactive has revealed the newest Sniper Assassin map in Hitman 2. Taking place in ice-cold Siberia, this mission may prove to be the most frigid yet. The DLC will be available on July 30, 2019 for all Expansion Pass owners.

The map takes place in a prison facility located in the freezing heart of Siberia. The mission involves the assassination of two high-profile targets. Your targets are mobster Ronan Khabko and corrupt warden Vitaly Reznikov. The two are conspiring for an early release of Khabko, which naturally something will need to be done about. Of course, as a master assassin, you’ll need to make sure you’re not caught. To do so, you may need to start a little prison riot. As with all things Hitman, how you reach that conclusion is ultimately up to you.

This map will be full of new secrets to discover. Expect new ways to cause chaos in the world, with a variety of unique ways to bring your targets (and likely others) down. Taking part in this mission will allow players to acquire the ICA Druzhina 34 Arctic sniper rifle. Achieving the highest level of mastery with the weapon will allow Agent 47 to use the gun in regular play, as well. Of course, the contract can either be executed (no pun intended) solo or with a partner.

The new Siberia mission was previously teased as part of the July roadmap. We don’t know what Io Interactive has planned for August yet, if anything, but we should be hearing about that soon. Io may even be working on a potential Hitman 3, though we haven’t gotten an official confirmation yet. In a departure from Hitman 2, Io’s first under Warner Bros. Interactive, this game may release episodically.

Hitman 2 is available now for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Will you be accepting this mission? Let us know!
