PlayStation Home has grown and expanded over the past year, with an increasing number of spaces hitting the service as it continues to evolve. One of Sony’s biggest franchises, Singstar, has been known to have an upcoming Home space for quite a while with gamers and singers alike looking forward to dancing the virtual night away. Now, Sony has announced the SingStar: VIP space as another available area for Home users.

Speaking on the EU PlayStation Blog, Naomi Castle, from Sony’s London Studio, announced that British rapper, songwriter and record producer Dizzee Rascal will launch their new SingStar Rooms: VIP space in PlayStation Home on September 24th at 20:00  BST/21:00 CEST. The Mercury Award Winner will launch the Space, while promoting his new album ‘Tongue n’ Cheek’.

He will be performing six of his tracks exclusively for the PlayStation Home and SingStar community, including ‘Chillin Wiv Da Man Dem’ for the first time in the public domain. Dizzee will also answer Home users questions, trying to meet as many people as possible, and will be around for an hour after the performance.

There’s a free Dizzee Mask up for grabs if you visit the gig (available for 48 hours only) and plenty of other limited edition items for your PS Home avatar.

If Dizzee’s rap music isn’t to your liking don’t worry, Carly Byron, European Product Manager at SCEE commented below the article:

“The launch event with Dizzee is just the start, and moving forward the space will be used to host even more special events and gigs. Keep an eye on the blog for future announcements!”
