UFC 2009 Undisputed saw the return of MMA to video game consoles, and instantly gained recognition for its technically accurate gameplay and photo-realistic visuals. This year THQ released the latest iteration in the MMA franchise, citing the new game as a major step forward saying they’ve improved 2010 game so much that the 2009 game is redundant. Alongside UFC releasing was other contenders such as Blur and ModNation racers. But according to an analyst UFC was given the deadly octagon KO.

UFC Undisputed 2010 has sold “below expectations” thanks to other big releases such as Red Dead Redemption, according to an industry analyst, Lazard Capital Markets analyst, Colin Sebastian concludes that the game is “tracking below our expectations at retail,” stating that Amazon discounted the game only a week after it went on sale in an attempt to lure customers.

Also with the World Cup only a week away expect sales for the official game to increase. DLC for Rockstars Western adventure will be releasing on June 22nd, and expect some sort of DLC for THQ’s bloody brawler. Check out our Red Dead Redemption Review or UFC Undisputed 2010 Review.
