Gamers looking for a chance to sample id’s visually impressive FPS, RAGE, will get a chance to do so today. Publisher Bethesda Softworks has announced that a demo for RAGE is now available on the PlayStation Network. The demo has already arrived for North American PSN users and will arrive for European users later today.

The demo will introduce gamers to enemies known as The Ghost Clan, described as “a cult of murderous fanatics,” who have plans to infiltrate the town of Wellspring’s waterworks and poison the water supply. The player is the only one in town capable of putting an end to their plans. While in Wellspring, gamers will get to: meet characters, play “games of skill and chance,” interact with local vendors or try some of the game’s racing at the Speedway.

RAGE was released for PS3, Xbox 360, and PC on October 4th of this year. If you’d like more information about RAGE, you can check out our review of the post-apocalyptic FPS title here.
