Report: Assassin’s Creed Unity Platformer Style Mode “Rifts” Leaked in Video (Update)

Update:

Unfortunately, the video has been removed. However, we can confirm that it was still up at the time of posting this story.

Original story:

Video of an Assassin’s Creed Unity game mode called “Rifts” has been leaked online, revealing what looks like a time-based third-person platforming experience. It seems that players will be racing against time to collect points and beating the ghosts of their friends. Apparently, some levels will feature Assassins and Templars from periods other than the French revolution.

The video above alongside some details were leaked in a Reddit thread over the weekend by a user claiming to be an Assassin’s Creed Unity Developmental Build Tester. He wrote:

Your goal to is collect data on the map to find the location of a trapped assassin on the map. “Data comes in three varieties. Static worth 10 points. Dynamic (read: moving around the map) for 20 points, and encrypted (you have to stand year for a few seconds for it to be picked up) for 50 points.

Ubisoft has not released an official statement about the leak yet. We’ve contacted Ubisoft about this bit of info and will update the story if and when they respond.
