Resident Evil: Revelations 2 Details Revealed, Claire Redfield Returns as Lead Character

With Capcom finally announcing Resident Evil: Revelations 2, details of the game have started to appear in magazines and on the internet. According to the November issue of GamesMaster magazine, Claire Redfield will return to the game as its lead character, and we’ll also see Barry Burton’s daughter Moira.

We’ve learned that Claire’s role will involve combat whereas Moira will play a supporting role, helping to keep Claire alive. Revelations 2 will feature a single-player mode as well as a co-op mode, and as we already know, it will be set in a detention facility on a remote abandoned island. Revelations 2’s events take place somewhere in between Resident Evil 5 and 6. According to the game’s producer Okabe:

The project has been finding the line between listening to fan feedback and doing something different to confound expectations. I want this to be a game that doesn’t lose what made its predecessor great, while also bringing something new and exciting to the Resident Evil series. Achieving that lofty goal by bringing together past and future will make this an itchy-tasty prospect indeed.

The magazine also reveals that Revelations 2 will run at 1080p and 60 frames-per-second on next-gen consoles and PC; with the game scheduled for release in 2015.
