PSN Fully Online After Being Intermittently Available (Update 4)
Update 4 (2:42pm PT):
Ask PlayStation said, “The PSN issues reported earlier seem to be resolved now. Happy gaming!|
Update 3 (12:50pm PT):
Following the latest tweets from Ask PlayStation, Sony has changed the status of the PSN to “Intermittently Available,” adding:
PS4 users may experience issues when connecting to PSN. We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.
Adding that the “PSN is online,” they suggest you “disconnect your router and console from the power source for 3 minutes, reconnect them and try again.”
Stay tuned for more updates as they arrive.
While some PSN problems may still be experienced elsewhere, Bungie says, “Earlier issues preventing PS4 players from signing into Destiny have been resolved. Thank you for your patience.”
At the same time, Bungie confirmed that they’re aware of recent Destiny errors on PS4 by saying, “We’re looking into the errors some of our PS4 users are experiencing when signing into Destiny. Thanks for your patience!”
When contacted about potential PSN downtime, Ask PlayStation replied:
Power cycle your router and try again, if the issue persist, please try with a wired connection.
Power cycle your router and restart your console. If the issue persist, please try again later.
This was the same fix Ask PlayStation offered up when the PSN went down last week.
Hopefully this issue isn’t as widespread as the most recent PSN downtime (the official PlayStation website says the PSN is Online), but we’ll keep an eye on it all the same.
