Dragon Ball Xenoverse Ships 1.5 Million Copies Worldwide, GT Pack 1 DLC Out Today

While they don’t say how many copies of the game were sold to consumers, Bandai Namco Games announced today that Dragon Ball Xenoverse has shipped over 1.5 million copies worldwide since launch in February.

Looking at its debuts in the various territories, Xenoverse placed in 7th during February 2015 in the US, it had the strongest week 1 of any Dragon Ball game in the UK, and it finished in first in Japan at launch.

Producer Masayuki Hirano talked about the success:

I would like to thank everyone for their support on this new challenge. We decided to take a risk and create a completely new concept to entertain our fans and Dragon Ball lovers and we are quite proud of the successful result! On a more personal note, I feel honored to create a game around a license as massive as Dragon Ball!

On behalf of Bandai Namco Games: thanks for your amazing support! We will continue working and reaching new heights!

It wasn’t given an individual price (it’s included with the Season Pass), but the Dragon Ball GT Pack 1 will go live today in North America and tomorrow in Europe for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Here’s what’s included:

  • 3 new playables characters (Kid Goku GT, Trunks GT and Pan)
  • 1 new stage (Planet Tuffle)
  • 5 new costumes, 3 new accessories, 9 new Z-souls
  • 2 new Masters (Tien and Yamcha)
  • 15 new special moves to be learned from Tien and Yamcha
  • 4 Time Patrol Quests and 3 Parallel Quests

What do you think of Xenoverse?
