Final Fantasy VII PS4 Port of PC Version October Release Date is Incorrect (Update)

Square Enix confirmed in a statement to Game Informer that the release date posted on their website for the Final Fantasy VII PC port on PS4 is incorrect:

We can confirm that the published release date for this title is incorrect. As discussed at this year’s E3, Final Fantasy VII will be ported to the PlayStation 4 in Winter 2015.

They also re-confirmed that the price will be $15.99.

During their E3 2015 press conference, Square Enix revealed that the PC port of Final Fantasy VII on PlayStation 4 had been delayed from Spring 2015 to Winter 2015.

In a new update on the game’s official product page though, it’s confirmed that the game will launch as a digital-only title on October 16 in both North America and Europe.

Including “system-exclusive features,” this version of Final Fantasy VII will cost $15.99/£12.99/€15.99.
