Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn Update Will Require 50GB of Storage on PS4

Hold on to your hats, as it’s almost time for the Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn update to land. First things first, though, you need to make sure you have enough space on your PS4’s hard drive.

At the moment, A Realm Reborn demands 40GB of space. After patch 3.2, however, it will latch on to 50GB of storage. It doesn’t take a mathematician to work out that the update will be bringing a whopping 10GB of content to the game next month.

The official forum post offering these details, also mentions that those playing Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward or the all-in-one Final Fantasy XIV Online, will be unaffected.

If you’re curious about the update size on other platforms, this handy table is worth checking out:

Are these big download sizes tempting you towards a bigger hard drive upgrade? If so, here’s a helpful walkthrough to guide you through it.

Got any wishes for what you want to see in this latest update?
