PS4 Update 3.55 Rolled Out, Is Most Likely What You’re Expecting

Sony has rolled out a new PS4 update today, and as you can expect from an unannounced PS4 firmware update, it doesn’t add anything new other than improve the PS4’s performance.

Clocking in at just 300MB, here’s the official PS4 update notes:

Main features in version 3.55 update

  • This system software update improves the quality of the system performance.

And that’s pretty much it. You can also download the file right here, with instructions on how to properly install it here. Given how we usually know months in advance if there’s a big PS4 update set to hit in the coming weeks and months — and it most of the time brings with it a slew of new features — don’t expect anything big anytime soon.

What would you want to see Sony roll out for its next big PS4 update? Will we finally be able to change our PSN usernames? Maybe delete messages all at once or even sort games into folders? Let’s hope some of the most requested ones make the cut this time.
