Little Nightmares 555x328

Following the recently announced partnership between Bandai Namco and Tarsier Studios, Little Nightmares (previously “Hunger“) has been given a release window. The grim story of a young hero who is attempting to escape a vast, mysterious vessel inhabited by corrupted souls looking for their next meal, will be available to players on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC during 2017. Currently the game is looking to launch during spring, available as an online download across the various digital storefronts.

Bandai Namco has also provided a fact sheet, which should give you a good idea of what Little Nightmares will entail:

Overview

The Maw arrives every year. Always at the same time, but never in the same place, it creeps and crawls and buries its claws deep beneath the glistening water. And there it sits in vast silence. Waiting.

Soon after, they start to arrive. The guests. The monstrous, sweating, hungry guests. All seams bursting, bodies bulging, eyes dead with boredom. They shuffle up the gangway and into the mouth of The Maw. And then they are no more.

For none of those that enter have ever returned to tell the tale. At least, not yet…

Immerse yourself in Little Nightmares, a dark whimsical tale that will confront you with your childhood fears as you help Six escape The Maw—a vast, mysterious vessel inhabited by corrupted souls looking for their next meal.
