Mass Effect: Andromeda Features Weapon Crafting

Mass Effect Andromeda’s lead designer went to Twitter to announce a new feature for the upcoming role-playing game. Ian Frazier tweeted out that players will be able to craft their own weapons and give them their own names. In his example, he told players they can craft a “krogan-style hammer” and then name it “Grabthar’s Hammer.”

Check out his full tweet below:

While weapon crafting is new to the Mass Effect series, the addition shouldn’t be much of a surprise. That’s because it was seen in the last game put out by Bioware, Dragon Age: Inquisition. Either way, it’s good to know that players will have some added customization tools in the developer’s latest space epic.

Mass Effect Andromeda is set to release on March 21, 2017 in the US and March 23 in Europe. Bioware’s latest entry in the Mass Effect series will release for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The game is set to undergo a multiplayer beta test, of which details are expected to be announced soon.

Let us know in the comments below if you’re excited about being able to craft weapons in Mass Effect or if this feature should’ve stayed in Dragon Age. Plus, if you have any good weapon names we’d love to hear them (so we can steal them once the game comes out). Shout them out below, and let the world know!
