Destiny Going Offline for Maintenance on Wednesday, Downtime Expected to Last 4 Hours

A while ago, Bungie announced that it’ll be taking Destiny offline for a little bit of maintenance but ended up postponing it. The developer has now announced that it has rescheduled maintenance for Wednesday, May 17, between 10AM and 2PM PST (5PM-9PM UTC).

In addition to not being able to sign in, players might temporarily lose access to Bungie.net and Destiny Companion features.

We’ll keep our readers posted.

Elsewhere in its latest weekly blog, Bungie reminded fans of Destiny 2‘s gameplay premiere, which is scheduled to be livestreamed on Thursday, May 18. The upcoming title will have a new Game Director, with Bungie noting:

Jones is still around, but the torch has been passed to a new Game Director, backed up by a team who has watched every step the Guardians have taken together into the unknown. We’ve tackled the immense responsibility of earning the right to put a number on the box. In a matter of days, we’re going to Los Angeles to tell you how we’ve risen to that challenge.

Destiny 2 releases on September 8 for the PS4, Xbox One and PC.
