Check out What the Upcoming Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 DLC Has to Offer

Earlier today, Bandai Namco has detailed the upcoming content that Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 will be receiving to celebrate its first anniversary, including the paid Extra Pack 1 and the free update coming this Autumn for all platforms.

According to Bandai Namco, the Extra Pack 1 will include new content that includes Taipon, Android 13, Dabura, and Bug (Gohan absorbed) as playable characters, Zamasu as an instructor, 4 new costumes, 5 parallel quests, 13 new skills, and “so much more” according to the company.

The free downloadable content coming to the game in Autumn will be the new Hero Colosseum mode. Hero Colosseum will be its own story mode that allows players to fight via a “tactical figurine battle.” When it was revealed earlier this month, we didn’t really know what that meant, but now we can see that it’s essentially like any other figuring battle game on the market. You move your figures along the board and take turns fighting opponents, and also seem to be able to collect and open capsules to unlock newer, higher level figurines.

The interesting dynamic in Xenoverse 2 seems to be that when your figurines battle, it transports them into a stage where they fight on their own, which certainly looks better than just two figurines shaking back and forth on a board. Hero Colosseum will be available for free this coming Autumn for all versions of the game. The figurines in the new mode will all have different rarities and skills, and the new mode will also offer a new expert mission, raid quest, and customizable background music.

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is available now.
