Id Software Teases Unique Vehicles for RAGE 2

Even though RAGE 2 won’t be releasing until 2019, that hasn’t stopped developers id Software from continuing to tease the upcoming game. After announcing that the game won’t have any loot boxes and that the game would be utilizing the same engine as the Just Cause series, id has once again revealed a small tidbit about the upcoming game via the game’s Twitter account.

As you can tell from the tweet above, besides the general carnage in the gameplay, RAGE 2 will allow players to roam the wasteland of the game in a ton of unique vehicles. Ranging from buggies, monster trucks, and even gyrocopters, id seems to be promising that no matter what type of vehicle you come across, you will be able to drive it. Of course, it remains to be seen if this will be true or if this is pure hyperbole for how many unique vehicles will be available when the game launches. Still, it’s promising that the developers seem to be allowing players to get creative with their car choices, which will only make the game that much better.

For more on the upcoming RAGE 2, check out how id describes the upcoming title with the overview below:

In RAGE 2, you’ll dive headfirst into a dystopian world devoid of society, law, and order. You can go anywhere, shoot anything, and explode everything. The game brings together two studio powerhouses – Avalanche Studios, masters of open world mayhem and id Software, gods of the first-person shooter – to deliver a carnival of carnage.

In the year 2185, humanity’s numbers are dwindling. Ruthless and bloodthirsty gangs roam the open roads and the tyrannical Authority seek to rule who remains with an iron fist. You are Walker, the last Ranger of the wasteland. Robbed of your home and left for dead, you’ll tear across an unforgiving wasteland battling bloodthirsty gangs to find the tools and tech needed to take the fight to The Authority and crush their oppressive rule once and for all!

RAGE 2 is set to launch sometime in 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
