In case you’re wondering, yes, there’s going to be an all-new season for Telltale’s excellent The Walking Dead adventure game. Not only that, but we’ll get our first plate of info this coming June 12!
Posting on its official site, Telltale mentions that fans will get a sneak peek at the new The Walking Dead – The Telltale Series’ third season. Additionally, Telltale confirmed that it’s working with series creator Robert Kirkman to take the series “in an unexpected direction.”
What we can tell you now is that this new season will serve as both a bold new entry point for the story, as well as a continuation of the saga that began with Lee and Clementine in 2012.
If you want to check the reveal, you can tune in to IGN’s pre-E3 coverage this Sunday at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET or just wait for us to summarize all the news once we know all the details.
I’ll admit that I’ve yet to finish Season 2, but I’m in the last episode already. In saying that, I’m pretty sure someone will act like an ass in the comments and try and spoil the ending. Heck, I’ll just finish the last episode later tonight just to make sure Telltale themselves don’t spoil anything this Sunday.
