Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls Hits PS4 on June 27

Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is coming to PlayStation 4 on June 23 in Europe and June 27 in North America through physical and digital retailers, NIS America announced today.

The standard edition is priced at $29.99 USD, or you can pick up a $54.99 USD Limited Edition from NIS America’s Online Store. The extra $25 gets you a 32-page hardcover art book, 15-track single-disc original soundtrack with jewel case, collector’s box, Warriors of Hope 4.5″ Diameter Tie Clip, Warriors of Hope Pin, Kurokuma Tie, and Kurokuma Eyepatch.

A port of the PlayStation Vita version, here’s what to expect from Ultra Despair Girls on PS4, according to NIS America’s Judith Pi:

Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls deviates from the visual novel formula and gives players the thrill of action-packed battles between Komaru Naegi, Toko Fukawa, and the Monokuma robots. While Komaru wanders and explores Towa City, Toko’s “battery gauge” fills up slowly, and when full, players can have Toko transform into Genocide Jack, a ruthless killer who is immune to all damage! However, once her battery gauge is fully depleted, she turns back into Toko, and Komaru once again leads the exploration.

But what is the source of the despair? Komaru discovers that the Warriors of Hope — elementary school children who seek to create a utopia by murdering all adults with Monokuma robots — are behind the chaos. By using her Hacking Gun to confront the Monokuma robots, Komaru just may stand a fighting chance against the onslaught of murderous bears!

The PS4 and PS Vita versions of Ultra Despair Girls won’t include cross-save.

If you want more Danganronpa this year, Danganronpa 1&2 Reload is coming to PS4 in March, and Danganronpa V3: Killing Harmony for PS4 and PS Vita will follow later this year.
