Blizzard Gear has just unveiled its newest Overwatch collectible: Mei’s robot, Snowball. And yes, as expressed in the title, the cute little metal ball actually levitates, thanks to a magnetic base encased in ice. (No, not real ice.)
Mei’s Snowball replica will also feature expressive LCD lighting as it slowly rotates and will also have a built-in, USB charging port that will allow you to charge your cellphone or any other small device. While it can’t actually manipulate weather, it’s certainly living up to its reputation as a robot that delivers support.
Here are some of the specific details about Mei’s Snowball, taken from the official product page.
- Overwatch Magnetic Levitating Snowball: $175.00
- Specifications: Snowball measures 4.25″ x 3″ and weighs .6lbs/270g. The base measures 6″ x 1.75″ and weighs 1.3lbs/600g. Made of PVC/ABS
- For US, comes with 110V AC/DC US adapter. For EU, comes with 220V AC/DC EU adapter.
You won’t be able to pre-order more than ten Snowballs at a time, according to Blizzard’s website, which seems like a reasonable limit. I can’t imagine anyone loving the robot enough to need ten clones. You can only pre-order at the moment. If you order it now, you’re guaranteed to have it by December 15, 2018, just before the holidays.
This is only one of many recent Overwatch merch reveals. Not long ago, we saw some gorgeous statues. Blizzard is certainly giving fans of Overwatch choices this holiday season.
Given the continuous release of Overwatch goodies, what else would you like to see drop before the holidays? Let us know in the comments!
