Monster Hunter Portable 3rd Laps the Competition

December 21, 2010Written by Cameron Teague

Since its release on the PlayStation Portable, Monster Hunter Portable 3rd has been flying off Japanese store shelves at an alarming rate. In fact, sales have been so impressive that, a mere 17 days after its release, it has become the fastest selling title in Capcom history.

The game, which has sold an astounding 3 million copies since it came out, is also the fastest selling PSP title in history. It really should come as no surprise for a series that has had terrific sales both in Japan, and across the world.

Despite the handheld’s age, the PSP still manages to dominate the Japanese market, with the Monster Hunter franchise helping propel the device to new heights in its sixth year in the East.

It really should not come as a surprise for a series that has had great sales and should continue.
