Sonic Generations Shows True Colors in Latest Screenshots

April 27, 2011 Written by Jonathan Leack

In case you haven’t heard, Sega is currently hard at work on delivering another epic Sonic experience, this time in commemoration of Sonic the Hedgehog‘s 20th Anniversary. That’s right, it’s already been 20 years since the furry blue animal caught the world by storm on the Sega Genesis. The upcoming game is called Sonic Generations, and it incorporates many of the same worlds seen over the past two decades, but with 3D gameplay similar to Sonic Unleashed. More importantly, you can play as two different variations of Sonic: classic and modern. These two versions feature different physics, and offer drastically different experiences to enjoy.

We’ve only seen motion gameplay since the Sonic Generations announcement earlier in April, but now some high-resolution images are here to please. See below:

The visuals seem to be as vivid as they are true to spirit. You’ll get a chance to enjoy Sonic Generations when it releases in the last quarter of this year.
