Despite the continuing success of Grand Theft Auto Online, single-player DLC has fast become the white whale for GTA fans pining for more Michael, Trevor and Franklin in any capacity.

Well, according to the Instagram page belonging to the latter’s voice actor Shawn Fonteno, there may still be hope yet. Posted two days ago, the photo shows Fonteno dressed in a mo-cap suit at what we assume to be Rockstar’s office.

Since first teasing “exciting story additions” soon after Grand Theft Auto V‘s 2013 debut, those alleged single-player expansions appear to have been placed on the back-burner when GTA Online took precedence.

Whether it proves to be a bait and switch will be told in time, though the last official word from Rockstar claimed that they “have all key members of the team that launched Grand Theft Auto 5 focused on supporting GTA Online in every capacity.” Meanwhile, Fonteno’s ambiguous Instagram post appears to suggest the opposite.

LOL ……

So, a red herring for Grand Theft Auto V DLC? Or a genuine tease of what’s to come?
