In the third Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Making Of video, titled Pushing Technical Boundaries Part 1, Naughty Dog takes us behind-the-scenes to see how the power of the PlayStation 4 has brought the environment and characters of the game to life.

“Go behind-the-scenes once again with the Naughty Dog team,” the description says, “this time exploring how they were able to benefit from the power of the PlayStation 4 system. From the incredible graphical enhancements to the sheer scale and size of the player’s environment, Naughty Dog are able to realise their vision of the ultimate Uncharted experience.”

In the video, Technical Art Director Teagan Morrison says, “We have bigger levels than we’ve ever had before; maybe 10 times the size, at least, of explorable space.”

Creative Director Neil Druckman then added, “The challenge for us is – and the thing that’s been super hard – how do we give you more choices and make the pacing feel just as intense as when things have been more linear? It does introduce challenges as far as telling a very specific story.”

Uncharted 4 recently went gold and will release on May 10 for PS4.
