“Virtually All” Upcoming PS4 Games Will Be Able to Take Advantage of the PS4 Pro on Day 1

Following the release of the PlayStation 4 Pro on November 10, numerous PS4 games will support the new console’s features and power, many without the need for an update. To know if a game is enhanced on PS4 Pro, make sure you see the above icon on the retail box.

“You can check PlayStation Store for games that take advantage of PS4 Pro specific features, or look for the PS4 Pro Enhanced icon on software packaging,” Sony adds.

Here’s a list of some of the games releasing after November 10 that are confirmed to take advantage of the PS4 Pro, meaning they’ll offer additional features like enhanced visuals, faster or more stable frame-rates, HDR 10 support, or increased resolution:

  • Days Gone
  • Dishonored 2
  • Farpoint
  • Final Fantasy XV
  • For Honor
  • Ghost Recon Wildlands
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • Killing Floor 2
  • Mass Effect Andromeda
  • Spider-Man PS4
  • Steep
  • Watch Dogs 2

Although this is only a partial list of games confirmed to take advantage of the PS4 Pro, Sony says “virtually all new PS4 game releases moving forward will be able to take advantage of PS4 Pro capabilities on day one, or in some cases shortly after launch via a downloadable update.” Sony also confirmed that “there will not be any PS4 Pro-exclusive games.”
