Ubisoft Still Projects Watch Dogs to Sell 6.2 Million Copies, Yves Guillemot Talks the Delay

Hopefully this is the last time I write about the Watch Dogs delay today, as Ubisoft said in their conference call yesterday about the recently delayed title, “Watch Dogs was trending towards the higher part of our guidance because the pre-orders were very good. We had more units than we had on the original plan.”

Despite the delay, Ubisoft is still projecting Watch Dogs to sell 6.2 million copies, with CEO Yves Guillemot giving his two cents regarding the release date shift:

In a world of mega-blockbusters we have come to the conclusion that the team needed more time to realise the game’s potential. We consider it to be a long term pillar of our future performance, alongside the likes of Assassin’s Creed and Far Cry.

Do you think Watch Dogs will still sell over 6 million copies? Let us know in the comments below.
