Earlier today, the 2K International Twitter account sent out this tweet (via Joystiq), suggesting Borderlands 2 for the PlayStation Vita would be released on Tuesday, March 18th:
As it turns out, this was all an error, with the 2K International Twitter account following it up with these two tweets after deleting the original:
“We apologize for a tweet about a release date for Borderlands 2 on Vita which was posted in error. The release date mentioned is incorrect.”
“We’re sorry for any confusion this may have caused. For more info on Borderlands 2 on Vita please follow @PlayStation & @GearboxSoftware.”
You may remember March 18th as the original date given by NewEgg, but they then changed it to April 15th, and now it reads December 31st, 2014 (clearly a placeholder).
So, it looks like we’ll just have to wait for word from Sony (the publisher) and/or Gearbox about an official release date, though Gio Corsi, Director of Third Party Production for PlayStation, did say we can expect “more info coming soon!”
Even with March 18th being a false date, do you think it at least means we’ll be getting Borderlands 2 on Vita soon? Let us know in the comments below.
