Update 4:
You can follow the latest on DriveClub by heading over here.
Update 3 (October 8, 9:30am PT):
The latest message from PlayStation Support addresses the delay of the DriveClub PlayStation Plus Edition and DriveClub server issues:
The team is working around the clock to rectify these problems, and we apologize both for the delay in delivering the PS Plus Edition, and for any difficulty that you may have connecting to the game’s multiplayer servers.
Update 2 (October 8, 7am PT):
The service alert regarding PlayStation Network issues on certain titles is still in effect today. If there’s any updates to announce, we’ll let you know.
As for DriveClub, Evolution Studios has confirmed that server issues have delayed the PlayStation Plus Edition. Meanwhile, for those of you who own the game and are unable to connect properly, this statement was issued on the developer’s Facebook page:
We are aware however that many players are receiving an error message indicating ‘there is a fault with your internet connection’ and we are investigating what appears to be a wider server issue behind this problem.
It’s not affecting everybody and the game will keep trying to connect to the server automatically, so you don’t need to do anything with the game (like re-install or restart over and over) to establish connectivity.
Update:
It appears the issues are more widespread than we originally thought, as Sony has updated their website with this message:
We are aware of issues that players are experiencing with some of our titles on the PlayStation Network. Engineers are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.
Original Story:
While we already knew about the Destiny downtime today, two new releases – DriveClub and NBA 2K15 – are experiencing issues on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3, with Sony working to fix them right now.
Although specifics weren’t given about what’s gone wrong, here’s Sony’s message about the games:
We are aware of issues with NBA2K15, DriveClub, and Destiny. Engineers are working to resolve these issues as quickly as possible. Thank you for your patience.
We’ll keep on eye out for any updates regarding these titles, so stay tuned.
Have you had issues with either DriveClub or NBA 2K15 today?
