Square Enix will re-releasing the PSP’s Star Ocean 2 remake for Vita and PS4 later this month in Japan. While so doing, the company will improve the graphics somewhat and add two key things every gamer loves: trophies and pay-to-win support. It doesn’t specify, but gameplay support will become paid DLC, the new trailer confirms. Safe assumptions mean things like paying to level up or pay real money for healing items or weapons and stuff. Details presumably forthcoming.

Star Ocean: The Second Story was originally released for the PlayStation. It was then remade as Star Ocean 2: Second Evolution for the PSP.
