Treyarch said, “While 2XP is active this weekend, we’ll replace Chaos Moshpit playlist with the Nuketown only playlist. You’re welcome.”
The Call of Duty Twitter account added that the double XP is live “on all platforms.”
After receiving more than 10,000 re-tweets yesterday when gauging interest for it, Treyarch has confirmed that the next Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 double XP weekend runs from December 11 – December 13 at 10am PT/1pm ET.
The double XP applies to Multiplayer and Zombies. Treyarch didn’t specify platforms, so it’s possible the event will apply to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, as well as PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
Treyarch Studio Design Director David Vonderhaar also detailed the latest Black Ops 3 hotfix (18.104.22.168):
- Lots of tuning changes ahead of the CWL online qualifiers.
- Lots of (small) weapon tuning edits. No, we didn’t buff the Weevil you savages.
- Prevention from locking on as Streaks enter the playspace.
- More methods to prevent people who think it’s fun to idle in a game and collect Cryptokeys. Get out of here with that nonsense.
Work continues on the next full patch, with Vonderhaar adding, “I have a draft [of patch notes] I am reviewing today.”
