Another week, another GTA Online update. Rockstar continues to add additional content to their popular online mode in Grand Theft Auto V, and this week sees two noteweorthy additions. While the biggest addition is a new adversary mode called Deadline, the coolest is a Tron bike called the Nagasaki Shotaro. Both can be seen in the trailer that has been embedded above.
Here’s how Rockstar detailed the four-player Deadline mode over at the PlayStation Blog:
Deadline pits up to four players against another, each mounted on a different colored Shotaro, which emits a temporary light trail as you ride through the arena. Any competitor unfortunate enough to come in contact with said trail meets an instant explosion.
Make calculated movements to force opponents to cross your trail’s path and take advantage of strategic power-ups for a competitive edge; use Boost to speed ahead and cut off your opponents, slow down time with Zoned for precision movement, or leap your opponent’s light trail with Hop. Step in the arena now and earn Double GTA$ and RP through November 21.
In order to unlock the bike for purchase, players will have to play the Deadline mode first. Afterwards, they’ll be able to buy it at Legendary Motorsport. For a limited time, owners of a Shotaro will get an exclusive Nagasaki Logo Tee. Finally, the update also added in a premium race called Over the Bridge. Playable until November 21, the stunt race will give triple RP to those who participate.
