DC Entertainment has published a brief interview with NetherRealm Studios’ Tyler Lansdown on YouTube, in which he talks to iZombie‘s Rahul Kohli about Injustice 2. We’re treated to some more footage from the game while being given an overview of what’s new and what to expect from the upcoming title.
When asked what makes Injustice 2 different from its predecessor, Lansdown said that the studio is really excited about its new gear system, which will allow players to change character stats and appearance. Not only will the fighters look different with new gear equipped but they’ll also play differently.
There have been concerns about this system in the past whereby fans have pointed out that it can result in an imbalance. In response, NetherRealm said that Injustice 2 will come with modes that offer an even playing field.
Elsewhere, we’re told to expect a continuation of the previous game’s story.
Injustice 2 comes out on May 16 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. For more on the game and information on the roster thus far, check out our previous coverage.
