Prey – Everything You Need to Know

What is Prey, exactly? That’s a very good question, and it’s no secret that Bethesda’s space oddity has caused much confusion ever since Hammerhead’s Prey 2 was scrapped six years ago.

Not a single element of that game can be found in Arkane’s imminent sci-fi title — aside from those gnarly aliens running amok — and, like a phoenix rising from the ashes of a botched development cycle, there’s a tangible crackle of excitement swirling around the Prey of 2017.

Set aboard a retro-futuristic space station called Talos I, the story of Prey is rooted in an alternate timeline, one in which JFK survived the assassination attempt of ’63. Imbued with a renewed sense of purpose, the former POTUS then spearheads the space program, resulting in the creation of TranStar Corporation, a shady organization that acquires Talos I to study an alien species known as the Typhon. But as is so often the case, it isn’t long before shit hits the fan.

So, you’re ready to tiptoe down the corridors of Talos I? Not so fast! In anticipation of its North American launch on April 25, we’ve scoured the four corners of the internet — and the PSLS archives — to compile all the necessary information you could ever need pertaining to Arkane’s long-brewing thrill ride.

It’s been a long and meandering road, but Prey is finally teetering on the verge of release. May 5th is the date for your diaries, and you can let us know whether you’ll be stepping foot on Talos I via the usual place below.
