Lego Marvel Super Heroes Arrives This Fall on PS3 and PS Vita, has Over 100 Characters

If you thought that Lego Legends of Chima: Laval’s Journey was the only Lego game you’d be playing this year, boy were you wrong! Warner Bros. announced today that TT Games is developing a new game titled Lego Marvel Super Heroes that will launch this fall on both PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.

As the name suggests, Lego Marvel Super Heroes includes many characters from the Marvel universe (over 100 are unlockable!), with many of them – Spider-Man, Iron Man, Wolverine, Captain America, the Hulk, Thor, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Deadpool, Loki, and Galactus – having appeared in the live action movies.

The story in the game will be completely original and it has Nick Fury calling upon Iron Man, the Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Wolverine and many others to save Earth from enemies such as Loki and Galactus. No word was given on whether or not voice acting will be included, so stay tuned for more on that.

TQ Jefferson, Vice President of Games Production at Marvel Entertainment, talked about the upcoming Lego adventure, possibly revealing that it will include characters from the Fantastic Four and the Guardians of the Galaxy:

Fans of both LEGO and Marvel have wanted this game for years, and we’re addressing that demand with more Marvel Universe characters than ever in a console game. If you’re a fan of Spider-Man, the Avengers, Fantastic Four, X-Men, Guardians of the Galaxy or scores of other Marvel characters, this is the game for you.
