For most owners of Dragon Age: Inquisition, you’ll have noticed that your party members engage in “banter” from time to time by talking amongst themselves fairly often. For other owners of Inquisition, their party members are silent for hours on end, prompting people on Reddit and the EA Forums to speak up.

After being made aware of the situation, Executive Producer Mark Darrah said, “I’ll get someone looking at it.” In the EA forums, Community Manager David Hulegaard said, “So sorry to hear that you’re having some issues with the party banter not firing. We’ll definitely look into it. What platform is everyone playing on?” According to affected people, this lack of banter appears to occur on every single platform.

Upon asking for PC gamers who have played for over 60 hours to send over their save files, and receiving a large amount of them, BioWare is now investigating the issue. If a fix is brought in an upcoming patch, we’ll let you know.

Do your companions never talk? Or do they never shut up?
