Noticeably missing from EA’s line-up of titles coming out in this current fiscal year were both Mass Effect 4 and Titanfall 2. While the company didn’t talk about the new Mass Effect in their earnings call yesterday, they did address Titanfall 2’s absence.
Asked whether Titanfall 2 was pushed back until next year, CFO Blake Jorgensen replied:
You should assume that that’s not in fiscal 2016. It’s more likely in fiscal 2017. And a title of that size, we want to be pretty clear as to when it’s falling in the title slate, and so your assumption should be 2017.
So, based on this comment, expect to see Titanfall 2 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC at some point in fiscal year 2017, which runs from April 1, 2016 to March 31, 2017. This would place it at least two years after the original Titanfall’s launch in March 2014.
Do you mind waiting until next fiscal year for Titanfall’s debut on PlayStation?
