In case you haven’t heard, all post-launch maps, modes, and weapons in Titanfall 2 will be available for free to all players. As part of their launch message today, Respawn confirmed that the first piece of free DLC, Angel City – the remastered map from the first game – will be available on December 2. If you pre-ordered Titanfall 2, you get early access to Angel City on November 28.
“No Season Pass required: all maps & modes will be free in Titanfall 2 Multiplayer,” Respawn wrote in a blog post.” This means no splitting up the community and it all starts with the legendary Angel City map, remastered from the original Titanfall. This means once you’ve purchased Titanfall 2, your investment includes a full single-player campaign, the full multiplayer maps and modes, and long-term support with no hidden costs.”
If you want even more free stuff, three Titanfall 2 PS4 themes are currently free on the European PlayStation Store. It’s possible they’ll be added to the North American PlayStation Store later today, so be sure to keep checking this link.
Over on Reddit, Respawn Entertainment’s Scriptacus has said that a future patch will add stats display. Additionally, they revealed that there will be cosmetic DLC instead of micro-transactions:
No micro-transactions at all. There will be some cosmetic DLC later, but it won’t be loot box based… What you see will be what you get.
