Knights of the Old Republic Remake

BioWare’s beloved Star Wars RPG is being completely remade by Aspyr, and it will be a PS5 exclusive for a limited time. Ironically, the 2003 Knights of the Old Republic never made its way to PlayStation players, so this remake will be the first time PlayStation fans will be able to enjoy it.

Project EVE is a wild upcoming action-adventure game with flair that looks like it takes strong cues from titles like Bayonetta and NieR while embracing a unique style all its own.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Gameplay Reveal

The irreverent no-rules high-fantasy looter shooter RPG from Gearbox got its first gameplay trailer and a release date. The Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands gameplay trailer shows just how different from Borderlands the spinoff title is, including an overworld map. It’s still just as bat-shit crazy and over-the-top though. It’s coming March 2022.

Extended Forspoken Story Trailer and Release Window

Square Enix and Luminous Productions’ Forspoken got an extended trailer, highlighting more of the title’s strange story and fast-paced gameplay in the massive open world. It also had its release window narrowed to spring 2022.

Rainbow Six Extraction Trailer

Alan Wake Remastered PS5 Trailer

Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online Delayed to March 2022

Grand Theft Auto V and GTA Online on PS5 got a brief trailer during the Showcase, revealing that they had been pushed out of 2021 into March 2022 (which is starting to become rather crowded).

Radiohead’s Kid A Mnesia Exhibition Coming to PS5

A strange announcement, Radiohead and Epic Games are collaborating to bring Kid A Mnesia Exhibition to PS5, a bizarre interactive digital museum celebrating the band’s early 2000s albums.

Quite a change in tone from many of the other announcements during the show, Tchia is a bright island adventure where you can become other animals and objects.

Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection Coming to PS5 and PC

Marvel’s Wolverine in Development at Insomniac

A rather surprising announcement, Insomniac is working on yet another Marvel property. Still in “very early development,” Marvel’s Wolverine will put the developer’s unique touch on the adamantium infused anti-hero in a PS5 exclusive.

Gran Turismo 7 Gameplay Overview and Release Date

Gran Turismo 7 got a new trailer, complete with a more in-depth gameplay overview of what the new title brings to the racing franchise when it comes in March 2022.

God of War Ragnarok Gameplay and Story Revealed

The crowning moment of the Showcase, and announcement that most people expected, we finally got to see God of War Ragnarok in action, as well as learn that it is indeed actually called God of War Ragnarok. It still doesn’t have a release date, but now that the lid is lifted on the project, Santa Monica Studio is doing a lot of talking about this “finale of the Norse Saga” of God of War.

And that’s all 18 games or experiences that were shown during the September PlayStation Showcase, plus the new PlayStation global ad. Which was your favorite announcement? Anything you’re sad that didn’t make it into the schedule? Let us know your thoughts on the Showcase in the comments below.
