With Doom Free Update 3 now available, adding Deathmatch and Private Matches, id Software has announced that a Double XP Weekend is running from today, September 23 until Sunday, September 25. A specific time for the end of the 2XP on Sunday wasn’t given.
Star Wars Battlefront is also hosting a Double XP Weekend from today until Sunday, with EA saying, “Double your score this weekend to celebrate the launch of the Death Star expansion for Season Pass owners.” If you don’t have the Season Pass, Death Star will be available separately on October 4.
Battleborn, meanwhile, is taking things a little further. Until the end of today, you can earn 4XP in public matches. You can also grab a couple of skins by redeeming these SHiFT codes:

Additionally, the Lootpocalypse has arrived in Battleborn and lasts until Monday at 9am PT:
This week, the Lootpocalypse is upon us once again! Beginning [today] (9/23) at 9am PT, you’ll begin seeing increased drop rates for loot as well as discounts on Loot Packs. Here’s a basic breakdown of what you can expect:
- Temporary increases to Legendary gear drop rates
- Major enemies will have a chance to drop Rare and Epic gear
- Increased chance of getting higher rarity gear from Rare and Epic Loot Packs
- Discounted Loot Packs
You’ll be able to enjoy Lootpocalypse until Monday morning at 9am PT, so make sure to get in some quality time over the weekend to get your hands on some of that sweet loot!
