Fed up with waiting for NetherRealm Studios’ seeming refusal to release more details about Mortal Kombat 11‘s Kombat Pack fighters? Well, it appears the studio is fed up with fans expressing their impatience. In a clever clip posted on Creative Director Ed Boon’s Twitter feed, NetherRealm announced exactly when fans can expect the new Kombat Pack trailer to drop–August 21st.

For those of you waiting for the announcement of the MK11 DLC fighters…… we have a date for you! Kan’t wait for you to see who is going to join the roster!pic.twitter.com/qlbqDHT5Rn

The August 21st date indicates the wait is nearly over. However, another wait will then begin, depending on when the four remaining characters are set to release. At present, fans are still anticipating when Sindel and Spawn will finally be shown in action. The other two guest characters remain unknown, but do not be surprised if Joker and Ash Williams are the talk of the town in a few weeks.
At the very least, Mortal Kombat 11 players will have something to tide them over in the very near future. For owners of the title’s Kombat Pack, Nightwolf will enter the arena on August 13th. The classic character will likely go live on August 20th for fans who want to purchase him separately.
Mortal Kombat 11 launched this past April for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PC, and Xbox One. It didn’t take long for the new entry to start breaking franchise sales records. This installment in the series is also more than likely to go down as one of 2019’s best-selling titles. Before The Division 2 took the crown, MK11 sat atop the NPD charts for a brief period of time.
